2012 Convoy of Hope

The Convoy of Hope is a community outreach event that brings local churches, businesses and social services agencies together to honor, help and bring hope to Lake County residents who are in need.  The outreach is open to everyone with no identification required.  Last year’s Convoy of Hope event served over 3,000 men, women and children.  This year the Convoy’s local leadership team is expecting 5,000 Guests of Honor to come through the gates at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Painesville on Saturday, June 23.  Inside over 1,000 volunteers will be waiting to provide them with groceries, haircuts, clothing, shoes, dental services, health screenings, pet food, family portraits and much more.

The Lake County YMCA announced its branches will serve as drop off sites for new tennis shoes in any size for the Convoy of Hope event.  To contribute simply purchase a pair of new “brand name” tennis shoes in any size and take them to any Lake County YMCA location.  The Convoy of Hope will distribute all donated shoes to men, women and children in need.  Of course, cash donations are always a big help, too.   For more information, or to donate online, click here

Local businesses, churches, and corporations can help by enlisting as an Event Sponsor.  Sponsors will be recognized both on the Northeast Ohio Convoy of Hope website and at the entrance to the event.  Click here for more information.
